Our story

In 1950, our great grandfather Antonio Ceravolo moved from Calabria, Italy to the Adelaide Hills, starting work on a local orchard in Uraidla. He was soon joined by his wife Maria and their growing family.

By 1957, they purchased their own farm in Ashton, now Valle di Sant’Antonio, where the business still operates today. Starting with market gardening, the family grew vegetables before expanding into apples, cherries and nectarines.

In 1978, Ralph and his wife Josephine shifted the focus to fruit, and by the 1980s the next generation joined, driving growth and expansion.

In 2008, Tony Ceravolo launched Ashton Valley Fresh, producing apple juice and value-added products.

In 2014, the business entered a pivotal new chapter. Joyce and Joseph, Tony’s children, took over management of Ashton Valley Fresh - driving innovation, expanding the product range, and sharpening the focus on sustainability, particularly in finding new ways to utilise imperfect fruit.
