Our Story

I'm Ethan, and I've spent years in the food industry manufacturing products for brands across Australia. I've seen what happens when a handful of retailers control the market - innovation slows, quality suffers, and local producers get squeezed out.

Cart 8 was born from a simple belief: producers, growers, and makers deserve an alternative way to reach you, and you deserve to know where your food comes from.

Early on, I knew a marketplace without physical infrastructure would just be another website.

That's when the Fridge It family came on board as partners, bringing

  • over 30 years of warehousing and delivery experience,
  • a fully operational facility,
  • and a fleet of delivery vehicles.

Their infrastructure became the backbone of Cart 8 and what makes us fundamentally different.

Together, we bring local producers, growers, and makers into one marketplace so you can shop across dozens of brands and have everything delivered together. Our producers supply directly to our centralised facility, where we consolidate your order and deliver it to your door. Fewer layers means better prices for you and better margins for the people who make your food.
